Properties
The Society was set up to help people in the Fordington area of Dorchester and the majority of homes are in Fordington. First priority for homes in Fordington is given to those with a connection to Fordington, second to Dorchester and the surrounding villages, and third to West Dorset.
The properties include:
Family homes at 1 to 16 Hardy Avenue and flats at 18a, b c d Hardy Avenue;
Family homes at 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 and 30 Kings Road;
Family homes at 25, 26 and 27 Mill Street;
Family homes at 1 to 7 Edwards Court;
Family homes at 1, 2 and 28 Holloway Road, Mission Cottage 3B and Leat Cottage 3C Holloway Road, 17 St Georges Road, 66 Syward Close and flats at 15 and 15a South Walks;
Sheltered flats at 1 to 12 Fordington Hill House, 1 to 12 Millstream House, and 1 to 17 Old Mill.
The Society also lets five homes funded as a war memorial that were gifted to the Society by the Dorset Regiment. The homes are Kohima and Normandy in the Grove, Dorchester, 69 & 71 Acreman Street, Sherborne and 17 Seaview Road, Poole. Priority for these homes is given to families with military connections.
