Sheltered Housing
The Warden Service
The Society provides sheltered housing for people over the age of 60 years who need supported living accommodation. The flats are one bedroom flats and are situated at Fordington Hill House, Millstream House and the Old Mill.
Tenants must be independent and able to sustain a tenancy.
A Warden provides daily support during office hours and the Warden will deal with out of hours emergencies if she is available. The Warden does not provide personal care but she can help residents find the care they need.
The Warden is Emily Frame. She can be contacted on 07584 087982.
Tenants receive a support plan tailored to their individual needs. The plan’s aim is to help tenants live an independent and fulfilled life. Each person’s support plan is likely to change over time as the needs of the tenant change.
Tenants can choose whether they want the Warden to call or phone regularly. Tenants can decide not to have regular visits or calls but if circumstances change, Emily will be pleased to help.
If an adaptation to the home is needed or an aid to help make life easier Emily can advise.
Careline
Residents in the sheltered flats are strongly advised to join Careline. Careline is a personal alarm monitoring service operated throuh phone contact based in orhester. There is no extra cost.
Moblity scooters
Residents must ask for permission before bringing a mobility scooter onto the estate.
